The most beautiful playgrounds in Tyrol

Very close to Innsbruck's old town, children can let off steam in the idyllic courtyard garden at the large knights' playground. There is a lot to experience: sand play area, water play and a wooden play town with castle gate, watchtowers and bridges and of course a long slide. Paid parking is available around the courtyard garden. Toilets and refreshments nearby.

Next to the Klimmbrücke Nature Park House is a nature playground with a balancing course, climbing slide, ropeway and labyrinth made of willow branches. Information boards provide information about the Lechweg Nature Park. Public toilets are available.

The Auenland Sidan playground is no ordinary playground - it's a little adventure paradise in the middle of the countryside. Here you can climb, jump, splash around and explore for all you're worth! Whether it's cool climbing elements, a real tree house or a stream with water features - there's no room for boredom here. Surrounded by trees and flowers, you almost feel like you're in "Middle-earth", while cosy hammocks and loungers invite you to chill out.

In the witches' village of Tarrenz, near the Brenjursee lake, there is a fenced-in playground in a triangle. In keeping with the name, children can play in the crooked little house with a witch's hat, climb and slide in the spooky witches' tower, balance on the wobbly footbridge and scramble in the rope net. There is plenty of parking space. Refreshments are available at the nearby Brenjursee Hütte snack station.

Pirates, ahoy! Right by the Ache river at the large adventure playground, little pirates can sign on to the climbing ship, board the climbing tower or bury treasures in the sand under the awning. The highlight is of course the blue white water, where they can splash around extensively. There are sun loungers and a picnic area where you can relax. There is a (paid) parking lot nearby.

The man-sized marmot statue indicates that you are in the right place. There's lots to try out on the large adventure playground: a marmot swing, a large eagle swing and a trampoline. But that's not all, because at Murmel's waterhole there is water to pump, channel and pour with buckets. You can slide down from the watchtower. There is also a fun court and a beach volleyball court for older children. Parking, toilets and refreshments are available on site.

You can get to Gugger Island on dry ground via a wide baby carriage and cycle path. Close to the Inn, children can really let off steam on 1,500^m2: Soccer pitch, maze, rope slide and lots of play equipment are waiting to be tried out. You can learn lots of interesting facts about the natural environment on the nature trail. Toilets, a fun court and the Inn cycle path are all close by.

Close to the lido in Achenkirch am Achensee, a half-sunken pirate ship is waiting to be explored. Towers with climbing ropes, slides, shallow pools and rows of stones to climb over are great fun, whether you are here with or without a swimming bag. Smaller children also feel at home in the playhouse. There is plenty of space to run around or have a picnic. Parking available for a fee.

The town park at the upper town square in Kufstein is a great place to relax. How nice that even the little ones won't get bored. The tube slide, play and climbing frame, climbing castle and sandpit will keep children from the age of three entertained. At the water playground next door, they can splash and splash around to their heart's content. Parking is available. The park café serves good food.

The cute gnomes are already waiting in the extensive forest area for children eager to explore. The attractions are varied: mini golf, a slope slide, a tube snake with an observation tower and the lattice towers of the forest ropes course are all waiting to be conquered. There is also a water play area. The Wichtelpark also has a refreshment stop and toilets. You can also barbecue yourself with charcoal at the covered barbecue area.

Where there used to be Roman garrisons on the road to the Gauls, children can now let off steam to their heart's content. A spear barrier, a swinging game, a Gallic hut and the Roman chariot in the middle of the high forest inspire the imagination. Rocks, rhizomes and bushes are a natural part of the play area. A visit to the exhibition in the Nature Park House is also worthwhile. The Gachenblick restaurant offers refreshments.
