AMISTAD - A tribute to friendship Under the motto AMISTAD - the Spanish word for “friendship” - La Guitarra Erl 2025 builds a musical bridge between people and music of this world with an inspiring program.

Renowned Austrian and international musicians and artists celebrate the diversity and unifying power of music in a symphony of emotions as a tribute to friendship. The opening evening on August 14 promises to be a musical surprise when JULIA MALISCHNIG & JULE MALISCHKE, each as fascinating as they are impressive, present the JM Amistad Project. The two namesake guitarists with voices will embark on a musical journey of discovery together with a top-class ensemble for the first time. With their own songs, world music, classical music, poppy-jazzy sounds and tap dance, the and tap dance, the JM Amistad Ensemble creates an unforgettable concert experience full of magical moments.

CARMINHO, the great voice of Portugal, will be bringing a fado feeling and Portuguese lifestyle to the Festspielhaus for the first time on August 15 with her quintet. Hardly any other singer lends this Portuguese song form as much power, passion and depth as Carminho. She is a cultural ambassador of Portugal who captures the hearts of the audience and reinterprets fado with her own and traditional songs. With her magnificent string ensemble, she transports the audience into a world full of melancholy and joy, creating new visions of Amistad alongside fascinating stage visuals.

The LA GUITARRA NEXT GENERATION impulse concert on August 16 in the foyer of the Festspielhaus presents the next generation with selected prizewinners of the Tyrolean state competition Prima La Musica 2025. Afterwards, the Gipsy Stars' summit meeting in the main hall will cause a sensation. For the first time, the Dutch greats of the international gypsy guitar scene THE STOCHELO & MOZES ROSENBERG TRIO will meet the young Austrian gypsy star DIKNU SCHNEEBERGER. The premiere of this fast-paced Gipsy Night promises to be a unique event with new musical friendships.

With AMISTAD and the power of music, the international guitar festival La Guitarra Erl 2025 sets a thematic sign of solidarity among people and brings together in the best friendship what belongs together.
