The ceremonial cattle drives in the Hohe Salve region are not only a feast for the eyes and the stomach but also have a minimal impact on the environment thanks to the fact that they are planned as “Green Events”, a seal of approval only given to sustainable events.
the four villages and communities at the foot of the Hohe Salve really celebrate their cattle. On the evening before the cattle drive, there is a big party at the "Tyrolean Evening" in Hopfgarten with Tyrolean music and dancing. On the day of the cattle drive, the elaborately decorated cattle parade can be experienced in four villages. There is also plenty of sociable fun to be had strolling through farmers' markets and tasting regional delicacies.
