The Boogie Kathi Swing Project takes its audience on a journey to the golden era of swing. A time when music not only entertained but also moved hearts and filled dance floors. Inspired by the atmosphere of jazz clubs and bars from the 1930s and 1940s, this ensemble stands for handmade music, swinging rhythms, and genuine joy of playing.

The repertoire ranges from classics like Benny Goodman, Fats Waller, or Louis Armstrong to modern interpretations with a personal touch. The band creates an intense atmosphere – sometimes elegant and restrained, other times full of energy and zest for life. Led by pianist and singer Katharina Alber – alias Boogie Kathi – the band brings together musicians who are both stylistically and technically deeply rooted in the tradition of swing, boogie woogie, and blues. The fixed line-up includes Bernhard Fauster on clarinet & vocals, Gösta Müller on double bass, and Walter Metzler on drums.
