Event Ceremonial Cattle Drive in Reith im Alpbachtal

Because it's so beautiful, once again! In Reith im Alpbachtal there are two cattle drive festivals. After all, every single cow in the region deserves a big "Welcome home!".

Description

On two different dates, the cows are festively decorated as they migrate from the alpine pastures around Reith im Alpbachtal down into the valley. At lunchtime, the cattle parade through the village to their home stables.

At the craft market, wood carvers, basket weavers, schnapps distillers and glass cutters show off their skills from around 10 am. Of course, homemade fruit schnapps is also a must. Various music groups, such as alphorn players and Goaslschnalzer, entertain visitors - and food and drink are also provided at the large farmers' and gourmet market. At around 12 noon, the cattle parade through the village to their home stables.

Children up to the age of 12 do not pay admission.
