Duration: approx. 100 minutes, one break Age recommendation: from 8 years Artist talk afterwards (duration approx. 15 minutes) On this evening, the stage belongs to the representatives of the new circus from Austria. LIMBO means “in suspension” and is also the title of a violin sonata by Chloé Charody, composed for the acrobatic violin virtuoso Sonja Schebeck. Together with Josh Frazer, she tells a story of displacement through partner acrobatics, duo unicycle, and Cyr wheel. For almost 45 minutes, Sonja plays the violin live—while she is lifted, turned, and flipped through the air. The twins Florian and Michael Canaval, originally from Upper Austria, are known for their unique combination of technical juggling and live music. While they throw clubs, they create a complete soundtrack on stage using a loop station and various instruments (cello, drums, guitar). They are graduates of the State School for Circus Arts in Berlin and recipients of numerous awards (Young Stage Basel, Berliner Newcomer Festival).
