Event Ebbser Koasamarsch

When trail runners in the Kaiser Mountains start “tearing it up” again—so much so that even the chamois get jealous—we know: the Koasamarsch has begun once more.

Description

The Zahme Kaiser, the Wilde Kaiser, and the idyllic Kaisertal—every year, they all serve as the backdrop for the traditional Koasamarsch. The program features seven different competitions for hiking and trail running enthusiasts of all skill levels. The start and finish for all routes is at the school complex in Ebbs, where live music and delicious treats create a festive atmosphere.

The hiking groups are the first to set off at 5 a.m. into the Kaiser Mountains and through the Kaisertal Valley. The longest hiking route is the “Koasa-33er Hike,” a 33-kilometer tour via the Vorderkaiserfeldenhütte, the Hochalm, and the Hinterbärenbad, covering 1,910 meters of elevation gain. The 20-kilometer hike is a bit shorter—but there are also easier family loop hikes that run either five or 12 kilometers through the Inn Valley.

Even more challenging are the three trail runs. The longest of these is the anniversary route, the “KOASA-55-Panorama-Trail,” which covers 55 kilometers and 3,900 meters of elevation gain to the Fritz-Pflaum-Hütte.

The “KOASA Classic Run” (33 km, 1,730 meters of elevation gain) and the “KOASA Höllenritt” (20 km, 1,000 meters of elevation gain) also offer many participants a wonderful opportunity to test their limits!
