Icy Art in the Silvretta Arena

Artworks made of snow and ice amaze all Ischgl visitors as part of the snow sculpture competition. Artists create masterpieces from snow amid the magnificent mountain backdrop of Paznaun. The sculptors then have five days to create their masterpieces of up to seven meters high from snow in the ski area. If that doesn't sound like icy hands ... So if you suddenly find yourself face to face with gigantic snow sculptures, it can only mean one thing: Ischgl shines once again under the theme of the art event “Forms in White”! 

And even more: Thanks to the snow reliability of the Silvretta Arena, the icy art will remain until the end of April. So make your next ski day a gallery visit at the same time and marvel at the “coolest” artworks in the world!

The Forms in White at a Glance

• When: Construction of the snow sculptures January 2027, viewing from January 2027
• Where: "Viderböden", Idalp Ischgl
• Costs: the exhibition can be accessed with a ski ticket or pedestrian ticket.

New this year

We have significantly increased the prize money, including expense contributions: from previously €6,900 to a total of €10,000.

Additionally, this year places 1 to 5 will be awarded, instead of just places 1 to 3 as before.
