Event Gletscher Trailrun

The challenging glacier trail run leads up to the roof of the Ötztal. There are four routes to choose from, plus the "Top Mountain Run" and a children's run.

Description

If you want to run trail runs in Tyrol, there is no getting around the Glacier Trail Run in Gurgl. It leads into the breathtaking glacier world of the upper Ötztal at an altitude of up to 3,000 meters. The long "Glacier Trail 62K" route is 61.1 kilometers and 3,600 meters in altitude, but is not for beginners and requires a lot of stamina and technical ability.

The 42K marathon distance is also very demanding. However, there are also two shorter variants, the 26K and 14K glacier trails.

Children can also get a taste of glacier air at the "Widi Trailrun" on three different distances between 200 and 600 meters. All these runs take place on Saturday and start in the village center of Obergurgl. On the evening before, there is also the "Top Mountain Run" with a length of 6.3 kilometers.

The supporting program includes an expo where materials can be tested and the catering is regional.
