At the Heart of Noise Festival in Innsbruck, national and international acts from the avant-garde, noise, techno and experimental electronics genres break the usual genre boundaries. Every year anew: loud, raw and visionary.

Description

Since its beginnings, the Heart of Noise festival has been providing powerful impulses for the current music and art scene - away from the mainstream. From techno dance parties to audiovisual performances, the focus is on contemporary sound art, young music culture, media and digital art as well as DJ and VJ culture. The result is an artistic cosmos that draws on the very latest and most relevant cultural trends. Every year, the organizers set a theme and thus new statements, including political ones.

In some years, the sounds of Heart of Noise can also be heard at various locations in the city. Public places such as the square in front of the Landestheater, the Hofgarten or Innsbruck's Leokino are transformed into lively art venues. Thanks to the annual vinyl release with contributions from the current line-up, the Noise artists can still be celebrated after the festival.
