Hear and feel poetry - even with a chamber orchestra. At the W:ORTE International Poetry Festival, eloquent artists captivate their audiences in a variety of ways.

Description

Around 50 poets from all over the world will perform over several days in various locations in Tyrol and other Austrian provinces to present poetry at the W:ORTE International Poetry Festival. There are no limits - neither in terms of languages nor formats.

In addition to classical readings, there are talks, sound performances, musical performances and even dance performances. The festival even has its own chamber orchestra, which takes part in interdisciplinary concert formats. There are also events for children and young people, where poetry is used in a playful way with word twists and animal transformations. Those who want to practise their own writing can take part in writing workshops.

Most events are free of charge, with the exception of special formats such as writing workshops or performances with live music. The festival is organized by the two cultural associations "8ung Kultur" and "Literaturhaus am Inn".
