Every year in the last week of July, the East Tyrolean capital of Lienz turns into a colorful festival mile when the international street theater and circus festival OLALA takes place, with more than 30 groups from 15 different countries. With their high standards of artistic quality, they bring art, theater and circus performances to the city center that not only entertain, but also challenge and inspire reflection.

Acrobatic shows, comedy programs, lots of music, interactive productions and contemporary circus are all part of this. Children enjoy the interactive playgrounds. The lunchtime parade on Saturday is particularly popular with the public,

The festival is aimed at all generations and already has a long tradition. It was founded in 1992 by the then small, alternative cultural association "Ummi Gummi", which now plays an important role in cultural diversity in East Tyrol.

Productions in the city center and at Iselkai are free of charge. Tickets are available for shows.
