Church Concert "Cantus - Song of Night"

The Speckbacher City Music Hall is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year, and three pillars shape the anniversary year: sacred music, tradition, and modernity. The kickoff of the musical anniversary journey is the church concert on 07.11.2026, which is entirely dedicated to sacred music.

With a varied program, the Haller Bluejackets create a bridge from sonorous brass works through moments of calm and reflection to moving vocal passages. Together with soprano Annina Wachter, “Glück, das mir verblieb” by E.W. Korngold and “Repentir” by C. Gounod will be performed. The program is further complemented by works such as “Alleluia! Laudamus te” by Alfred Reed and “Cantus – Song of Night,” which was created by the Upper Austrian composer Thomas Doss for the 180th anniversary of the Speckbacher.
