KUHN FU - Jazz Rock Psychedelia The madness of Kuhn Fu has a method. The band led by the hyperactive mastermind, guitarist, and composer Christian Kühn fights against purity laws with conspiratorial means and regularly gives the jazz police the middle finger. Like a martial arts fighter creatively using Tourette's and ADHD, Kühn spins on stage and encourages the members of his band, founded in Groningen, to take excursions into anarcho-land. Zappa meets cabaret; surf sounds and metal riffs ride on the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, while Ellington, rock 'n' roll, Stravinsky, and Moondog serve as godfathers. With Kuhn Fu, only the unexpected can be expected. Just when the audience is really in the groove, a sudden twist surprises the listener. Kuhn Fu stands for shocking moments that you fall in love with, for absurdity and humor, for an almost otherworldly energy between parody and a great seriousness with which they break down musical blinders. The band, consisting of a powerful woodwind section and a driving rhythm group, plays unusual, beautiful, energetic, and emotional music.

KUHN FU was founded in 2012 in Groningen, Netherlands, and has released six studio albums and two live albums so far. They were nominated for the German Jazz Award 2023 in the category "Composition of the Year" and have extensively toured Europe with over four hundred concerts in twenty-three countries.
