Description

This lecture examines the widely distributed postcard series “Der Kampf um die Scholle” and explores the interconnections between local photography, contemporary history and ideology. Drawing on an analysis of the family’s private archives and other collections, the photographs and biographies of Franz and Hannes Schneeberger offer new perspectives on Osttirol and Austria during a period of conflict.
