The Nassereither Schellerlaufen is a traditional carnival custom in Tyrol that is deeply rooted in the regional culture. The focus is on masked runners with elaborately carved wooden masks and heavy bells, who parade through the village in fixed roles. The impressive procession follows traditional rules and symbolizes the transition from winter to spring. Accompanied by numerous spectators, Nassereith is transformed into a lively stage for living customs.
