Event Nassereither Schellerlaufen

Nassereith, on 01. Feb 2026
expired

"What's the weather like?" This is probably the most frequently asked question on the day before the carnival in Nassereith. Nothing should stand in the way of the eagerly awaited Schellerlaufen.

We recommend because:

  • the Nassereither Schellerlaufen is a centuries-old Tyrolean carnival tradition that only takes place every few years and therefore offers real exclusivity
  • the elaborately carved masks and elaborate costumes create a unique, authentic cultural experience
  • the powerful procession with the rhythmic sound of bells transforms the whole village into a rousing, lively stage

The focus is on masked runners with elaborately carved wooden masks and heavy bells, who parade through the village in fixed roles. The impressive procession follows traditional rules and symbolizes the transition from winter to spring.
