St. Nicholas rarely comes alone! Most of the time, he’s accompanied not only by beaming angels but also by a few fearsome figures. This is also the case in Igls: After St. Nicholas has handed out his gifts, the Krampuses, led by their Obertuifl, march noisily through the town.

During the St. Nicholas Parade and Krampus Procession in Igls, after St. Nicholas has handed out gifts, a boisterous group of Krampus figures, led by the Obertuifl, parades through the town. To top it off, there’s warming mulled wine and Tirolean delicacies served in a festive Advent atmosphere.
