Trail running in Paznaun has something for everyone—as demonstrated by the diverse Paznaun Ischgl Ultra Trail. The striking routes offer scenic views as you make your way through the terrain. Are you in?
Running enthusiasts—from beginners to highly fit professionals—can push themselves to the limit at the “Paznaun Ischgl Ultra Trail” while enjoying the unique scenery along the Paznaun High Trail. There are five different routes to choose from, all ending in Ischgl, as well as a charity run and a kids’ race. Winners (and winning teams) will receive awards and prize money.
The PIUT 100 route, designed for trail running specialists, covers 100 kilometers and 6,300 meters of elevation gain from See to Ischgl. Slightly shorter but just as challenging is the PIUT 85, covering 85 kilometers and 5,200 meters of elevation gain starting from See. The 50-kilometer course features 3,100 meters of elevation gain starting from Kappl; the 30-kilometer course, starting in Galtür, features 2,500 meters of elevation gain; and on the PIUT 20, runners tackle 1,300 meters of elevation gain in Ischgl.
Those looking to get their first taste of trail running can test their skills on the “PIUT TEN,” which is just 10 km long with 100 meters of elevation gain. Here, participants are also doing a good deed: their entry fees are donated to a regional charity project. Children can join in, too. At the “PIUT Kids Run,” even the youngest participants celebrate big successes.
At the expo area on Silvrettaplatz in Ischgl, exhibitors showcase the latest innovations in the trail running industry, and spectators can enjoy music and refreshments at every start and finish line.
