Event Perchten run and St Nicholas procession in Kundl

Every year on December 5, Saint Nicholas arrives in the center of Kundl. Together with his angels, he spreads Christmas cheer and hands out small gifts. But watch out: Just a short while later, the “Peaschtlpassen” (groups of Perchten and Krampus) set off through the streets with a great deal of commotion. A spectacular sight!

First, St. Nicholas, together with his angels, creates a festive Christmas atmosphere in the center of Kundl. Shortly afterward, the “Peaschtlpassen” (groups of Perchten and Krampus) take over: With a great deal of noise, they parade through the streets, turning the Perchten procession into a sensational spectacle.
