Powder Department Ladies Days
Technical prerequisites:
Very good skiing skills on black slopes are a requirement – freeride experience is helpful but not mandatory. Beginners in the backcountry are also welcome! (If skiing abilities are insufficient, the organizers reserve the right to only allow participants to ski on the slope for safety reasons.) Groups will be divided according to skiing ability into beginner freeriders, slightly advanced, and well-advanced freeriders, and will be guided by experienced local mountain and ski guides.
Equipment:
ski clothing appropriate for the weather and temperatures
helmet and ski goggles
skis, ski boots, ski poles (freeride skis can be rented for a fee at Sport Okay at Eisgrat. Additionally, Faction offers free test skis on site – please note: It cannot be guaranteed that a suitable test ski will be available for everyone throughout the entire weekend.)
backpack for transporting safety equipment (shovel, probe, etc.)
if available: avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, airbag (avalanche transceivers, probes, and shovels can be provided on loan from Ortovox.)
Accompanied by local guides, the three days will take you to the most beautiful runs in the Powder Department at Stubaier Glacier – technique, safety, and fun are the main focus.
