Talking about death is difficult for many adults - often less so for children. They ask questions, openly share their thoughts, and want to understand what happens when someone dies. With "Black is a Kind of Color," the Municipal Cultural Program brings a play about grieving, death, and life for people aged six and up to Novum Kufstein. The Viennese performance group Grips'n'Chips humorously, imaginatively, and with a lot of music tells about saying goodbye.

A play that gives courage
Death and grieving are part of life, but are often overlooked in everyday life. This is exactly where the music performance comes in: With great openness and sensitivity, it invites children and adults to talk about feelings, ask questions, and search for answers together. The development of the play incorporated conversations with students, teachers, and other participants, as well as consultations with experts.

A sensitive topic without taboos
"Black is a Kind of Color" connects music, movement, and interactive elements into a special theater experience. Humorous scenes alternate with quiet moments, showing that laughing and being sad are not contradictions. The performers Regina Picker and Julia Schreitl encourage acceptance of emotions and inspire dialogue. Because grief looks different for everyone - and that is precisely what makes it human.
