Event Schwazer Adventmarkt

The Schwaz Advent market on Maximilianplatz is very musical. Bands, choirs and traditional music groups spread a cheerful and contemplative pre-Christmas mood on all opening days. In addition, the wide range of regional delicacies on offer ensures that nobody has to leave the market hungry.

Description

With mulled wine, punch and chestnuts, guests at the Schwaz Advent market on Maximilianplatz get in the mood for the Tyrolean Christmas - with music, customs and an atmospheric ambience on all weekends (and additional days) from the end of November.

Every Advent Sunday, an Advent candle is lit on the large wreath on the stage. Local clubs, schools and kindergartens organize these "lightings". Schwaz clubs treat guests to special delicacies such as traditional Zillertal doughnuts, Kiachl, Krautkrapfen, chestnuts, sweet Advent pretzels and chocolate pretzels. A large children's program and free carriage rides are especially fun for the little ones.
