The unique atmosphere of the Tyrolean mountain winter offers you a particularly special experience. With its log cabin-style huts and lovingly thought-through gift ideas, Seefeld’s Christmas market is always worth a visit. To look forward to: The Seefeld Park of Lights will illuminate the village with atmospheric light installations every day until 22:00.
Festive atmosphere guaranteed at the delightful Christmas market in the Seefeld pedestrian zone! Open daily from 21.11.2025 - 06.01.2026 from 14:00 – 22:00. The charming Tyrolean-style wooden huts offer visitors a selection of culinary delicacies, mulled wine and hot punch, as well as regional handicrafts and novel gift ideas. The magic of this quiet, reflective time of year is best appreciated in the evenings when the Seefeld brass band performs or the regional choirs sing traditional Christmas carols.
“Engerlpostamt” (Angel’s Post Office)
The annual Engerlpostamt is a highlight for children. There, they can write their wish lists, helped by the Christmas angels, for the “Christkind” (the Christ Child, who brings the presents here in Tyrol). They then give their lists to the angels who will send them directly to the Christkind and that way the children can be sure that their wish lists will arrive safely and that – hopefully – all their wishes will come true (dates follow).
Another highlight for children is the St. Nicholas Parade in the village square when St. Nicholas arrives by horse-drawn carriage, bearing a small gift for each child. The parade is accompanied by the Seefeld local brass band, the so-called Weisenbläser.
Not for children or the faint-hearted, however, is the Krampus Display, a traditional event that takes place on the 06.12.2025. A large number of Krampus (devil) groups from all over the alpine region will parade through the pedestrian zone to the Kurpark, dressed in their big hairy costumes and wooden masks and clanking their bells as they go, even on the following day, there is a Krampus show offered.
Again in Advent in 2024: Lichterpark Seefeld (Seefeld Light Display daily till 22.00)
From the beginning of November, there will be an atmospheric light display in the Seefeld Kurpark. Stars twinkle in the trees, the Casino tower glitters festively and a few metres away, you can try your hand at the interactive "4-wins" game.
With the Christmas lights, the seasonal decorations, various winter activities on offer and the chance of some relaxing Christmas shopping in the pedestrian zone, a visit to the Seefeld Christmas market is a real treat.
Visitors can easily combine a visit to the Christmas market with some leisure activities. Take a walk through the snow-covered winter landscape or over the parish hill to the small church, the Seekirchl, where children can have some fun on the little toboggan hill. There is also curling, ice skating and cross-country skiingavailable, perfect for anyone who loves being out in the fresh air and an ideal opportunity to enjoy the countryside as well as the reflective nature of Advent & Christmas.
