The "Tiroler Silberpfad" long-distance hiking trail becomes the ultimate venue for trail runners. Three thrilling distances challenge the participants - from the 86 km route to the demanding 42 km marathon and the crisp 23 km sprint.
The route of the Tiroler Silberpfad runs at medium altitude in the Inntal valley and demands technique, endurance and mental strength with up to 3,500 meters of elevation gain. Every ascent and every descent on the three different routes pushes runners to their limits - and whoever reaches the finish can call themselves the "toughest trail runner".
In the ultra run, athletes tackle 86 kilometers and over 3,000 meters of altitude in one day. Truly an ultimate test for body and mind. With its 42 kilometers and 2,700 meters of altitude, the marathon is a challenging mix of technique, endurance and willpower - ideal for trail runners with a passion. The 23-kilometer sprint over challenging terrain is short, intense and demanding. If you want to succeed here, you have to combine speed with tactics.
The Silver Trail owes its name to the region's mining history. The route runs through all twelve municipalities in the region.
