You’ll only find this in Imst: With its breathtaking route along the ridge, the Tschirgant Sky Run is one of a kind. Four distances or a night run—which will you choose?
The Tschirgant (2,370 meters), located between the Inn Valley and the Gurgl Valley near Imst in Tyrol, attracts even the world’s elite trail runners every year. The reason is the two-day “Tschirgant Sky Run,” which features five different races.
Those who opt for the longest route—the Ultrarun (TS52), which is 52 kilometers long with 3,500 meters of elevation gain—must not only have excellent stamina but also be sure-footed. More than 11 kilometers of the route alone run along the ridge of the Tschirgant. The TS26 course (26 kilometers, 1,900 meters of elevation gain) also takes runners through alpine terrain. Runners on the 42- and 16-kilometer courses (TS42 and TS16) can expect easier terrain.
A highlight of the event is the “Rosengarten Night Race.” It covers 2,000 meters and 250 meters of elevation gain through the mystical Rosengarten Gorge. Children can participate in the Sumsi Kids’ Run.
