Event Ultratrail KAT100 by UTMB

The panoramic tour through the Kitzbühel Alps has it all: 173 kilometers with some extreme climbs await participants. Don't worry, there are also shorter distances.

Almost 10,000 meters in altitude and around 100 miles (173.2 kilometers) - if that's not enough to make a splash? The KAT100 by UTMB, which starts in Fieberbrunn in the Pillerseetal valley, is an extremely ambitious trail running event that is also attracting international attention. It is a qualifying race for the famous "Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc" (UTMB); four "Running Stones" are awarded here. The route leads over the Wildseeloder, Hochfilzen, Waidring, St. Johann, the Kitzbüheler Horn, the Streif and Jochberg. There are always unique views of the Wilder Kaiser and the Hohe Tauern. The motto: "Next step to heaven".

Under the aegis of organizer and trail run specialist Thomas Bosnjak, five route variants have been created. In addition to the top route, the "KAT100 Miles", the "Marathon Trail" (50.4 km, 3,360 vertical meters), the "Speed Trail" (24.2 km, 1.640 vertical meters) and the "Endurance Trail" (81.4 km, 4,860 vertical meters) as well as the "Easy Trail" (8 km, 243 vertical meters). There is also the "Kids Trail" with three distances between 500 and 1,500 meters. All trail runs start in the center of Fieberbrunn.
