"Brass music on the rocks" is the motto of this unusual music festival. Over three days in March, 36 bands take control of the atmosphere in the Brixental Valley ski areas and on the main stages in the valley.
The "Winter Woodstock of Brass Music" is taking place for the fifth time in Brixen, Kirchdorf and Westendorf and attracts not only brass bands from various countries, but also crowds of fans and music lovers. There are at least eight stages for three days - during the day in the ski resorts, in the evening at the festival site at the valley station of the gondola lift in Brixen, where two large concert stages are set up. There will be classical and modern brass band music, folk and dance music, as well as the odd party hit at a later hour. The concert venues are not only accessible for skiers, but also for pedestrians.
