The highest café of Austria. Enjoy this unique vista of Tyrol’s highest mountain, and the surrounding mountains of Pitztal with fifty 3,000 m peaks at Austria’s highest café. Leave all your cares behind while enjoying a coff ee and piece of cake or torte from Austria’s highest cake shop. With the lift Gletscherexpress and the Wildspitzbahn up to the Café 3440.

Via the terrace of the glacier restaurant you can then cross to the valley station of the Wildspitzbahn gondola via a gravel path. Access is only possible with assistance as the gravel is hard to navigate right outside the valley station and the ramp has a gradient of more than 6 %. Access to the gondola is without steps and the width between the benches is 80 cm. From the mountain station of the Wildspitzbahn gondola, there is an easy ground-level access to Café 3440. It was built in 2012 and offers breath-taking panoramic views of the mountain backdrop including the Wildspitze peak. The ground floor level and the outside area of the café are wheelchair-accessible. The toilet in the basement is not wheelchair-accessible as it can only be accessed via a staircase.
