The award-winning Dorfhaus Steinberg is a modern village centre with restaurant, café and farm shop, built from local larch wood.

Description

The award-winning Dorfhaus in Steinberg, which comprises a restaurant, multi-purpose hall, foyer, and farm shop, was completed in 2016. Architect Bernardo Bader from Bregenz designed the Dorfhaus based on the traditional architectural style of the region. The Dorfhaus was built exclusively from local larch wood. The ensemble of the Dorfhaus, community hall and church has received several architectural and wood construction awards in Tirol and Austria. Opposite the Dorfhaus is the large public playground of the municipality of Steinberg.
