Description

Starting point: Mühlberg car park. The Frankenalm is a classic Jausenalm, it is 986 m high, public access is not possible. The hiking route No. 21a coming from the south via the Rinderbrachalm divides at the Frankenalm, which can be reached after approx. 45 minutes. The eastern route leads steeply uphill through the Dichtleralm to the Frankenmöseralm or further east to the Hutzenalm and ultimately to Reit im Winkl. The western route continues via the Hirzinghütte to the Taubenseehütte and then via the Taubensee and the Sonnwendjöchl also further to the east. The Frankenalm is open for grazing from the beginning of May to the end of October; In terms of food, she leads alpine bread times with bacon, sausage and cheese, as well as homemade cakes. The usual drinks from beer to juices to water are also available. All of this is available at reasonable prices, served by a friendly Almerin.
