This traditional mountain hut of the DAV Gera section is located in the mountaineering village of Valsertal directly below the Olperer and surrounded by impressive rock faces. This makes the hut an ideal base for climbing e.g. the Olperer (3,476 m) and the Fußstein (3,380 m). The Geraer Hut is also one of six stages on the Peter Habeler Runde and a wonderful place to spend a few days on holiday.
Overnight stays are possible in twin, multi-bed and camp sites, on the homepage of the hut you can book your sleeping place online. The cuisine of the hut is especially known for its dumpling specialities and the many regional products.
