Description

Past the Bernhardstal gorge and through dense coniferous woods, you hike leisurely up to the Gibler Alm. Especially for the youngest among us, a visit to the alpine inn at 1,200 meters above sea level is an extremely enjoyable experience, because the spacious natural forest playground offers fun and games in harmony with nature. If it then also goes with sled or toboggan down into the valley, the children's eyes shine. Adult guests visit the Gibler Alm mainly because of the wonderful opportunity to unstrap snowshoes or touring skis and to indulge in the hearty delicacies from the alpine kitchen after the ascent. EPPAS GUATS Hearty dumplings are a favorite dish of the Tyroleans. But since it's hard to choose between cheese dumplings, Tyrolean dumplings and smoked meat dumplings, the Gibler Alm has come up with a remedy. With their dumpling pan, you get to enjoy a delicious dumpling variation served on juicy sauerkraut. But you should definitely leave a little room for a final Kaiserschmarren, another specialty of the hut hostess. Good to know: The homemade stone oven pizza is also uniquely delicious! Route: From Elbigenalp on a forest road in about 45 minutes. Reachable via the Geierwally circular hiking trail in approx. 2 -3 hours. Shuttle service possible (telephone reservation in advance)!
