The Hermann-von-Barth-Hütte is located at an altitude of 2,131 meters. It is the highest refuge in the Allgäu Alps.
The Hermann-von-Barth Hut is considered an ideal base for alpine training and is centrally located along the main high trail of the Hornbach chain between Kemptner Hut and Kaufbeurer Haus. Enjoy the alpine air on the sun terrace and admire a summit panorama featuring 3000-meter peaks. This hut is the highest located in the Allgäu Alps.
There is no Wi-Fi, cell phone reception, electricity in the rooms, or hot water or showers; instead, you'll find genuine hospitality and a cozy hut atmosphere. Our dishes are freshly prepared with high-quality, regional products.
