For a long time, the Kasermandl was unmanaged and left to decay. This is now a thing of the past. The hut - about an hour's walk from the center of Elbigenalp - has now undergone a veritable metamorphosis.

Welcome to the Speckalm Kasermandl: We attach great importance to regional food and make every effort to source our products from local farmers and businesses. Whether bacon from our own production, eggs from our hard-working chickens or the Lechtal currywurst from Hof Bartl, served with wood-fired bread from the Dengel bakery, regionality is very important to us. Of course, our culinary highlights include the steak served with herb butter, garlic bread and three different sauces from the organic butcher shop Juffinger and maybe a cup of our organic coffee after the meal? Directions: From the Geierwally car park in Elbigenalp, go past the open-air stage on the right up to the Ölberg. There either turn left onto the path through the forest (shortcut) or follow the gravel path for about 1 hour. We also have a hut taxi. Please inquire or reserve the day before!!
