Description

A wonderful sun terrace with a view over the Lechtal valley and its hearty cuisine characterize the Hexenkessel today. The Alm is particularly popular with hikers and skiers, as it is located close to the Lechweg trail and the valley station of the Jöchelspitzbahn cable car.

"EPPAS GUATS" The food on the alpine pasture is as down-to-earth and traditional as you could wish for from an alpine pasture. Aromatic hay and alpine milk cheese and fresh butter come from the Sojer natural cheese dairy in Steeg. The spicy venison and house sausages as well as the hearty bacon are sourced from Hauser's farm store. After the Marend, guests can enjoy a brandy from the Wildanger schnapps distillery and, on cool winter days, warm up with herbal teas from the tea kitchen of the Lechtal herb witches.

Route description: Starting from the village square in Bach in the direction of the church and continuing towards the Seesumpfkapelle chapel and via the Modertal gorge to the valley station of the Jöchelspitzbahn cable car - approx. 1 hour
