Dear locals, dear guests!
On December 20th and 21st, we will open our guest service with a small menu. We will celebrate Christmas with our families on December 23rd, 24th, and 25th.
From December 26th, 2025, to January 11th, 2026, we are here for you daily. Kitchen closes at 8:00 PM.
From January 12th, 2026, we will have our weekly day off on Tuesdays again.
End of the winter season 2025/26 depending on lift operation (Schmiedalmlift)

The Berggasthof Hochschwendt has a good plain kitchen, homemade cakes, an excellent restaurant with a cosy sun terrace. Open throughout the winter season.
60 seats in the dining room, 30 on the terrace.
In winter the mountain inn can be reached by ski "Talstation Schmiedalm (lift no. 88)" or by car via Faistenbichl.
Also in summer it is a beautiful destination for excursions by bike or on foot, as well as reachable by car.
