Description

Angus beef from own farms Andreas Wahrstätter celebrated 20 years as chef at his parents' Gigglingstube restaurant in September 2008. He now has taken on a new challenge with his wife Elisabeth at the Schwarzen Adler guesthouse in Jochberg. Guests and locals can savour refined cuisine in the magnificent history-charged rooms with their old vaulted ceilings and wooden floors, as well as on the terrace with views of the Schützkogel. Wahrstätter, formerly Austria's youngest chef to be awarded 3 Gault Millau toques, applies his culinary expertise to transform fresh, simple local produce such as char from the Schwerterteich lake, Angus beef, game, mushrooms, sheep's cheese and much more into honest down-to-earth dishes.
