Arrival by public transport
Take the regional bus (line 4080 to Achenkirch, change to line 7801 to Steinberg) to the Rofanlifte II car park in Steinberg am Rofan. Get off at the "Steinberg a. R. Rofanlift II" stop.
Family-run ski hut near the beginner lift, cross-country ski trails, and winter hiking paths. Open throughout the winter season, serving traditional hut meals, coffee, and cake.
The Silberwaldhütte in Steinberg is situated right on the beginner slope, next to the baby lift, the village cross-country ski trail, and the "Kleine Steinbergrunde" winter hiking trail. Run by the Moser family, the hut serves hearty, traditional dishes, coffee, and cake. It is open throughout the winter season. During the summer months, the family can be found running the Schönjochalm.
