Heinz Hofer, born 1946, is one of the most significant watercolorists in the international Lake Constance region. He is a master of fine brushwork and is distinguished by a special artistic - creative sensitivity in his work. His delicate flower and landscape watercolors, painted in a modern style typical of Hofer, attract more admirers each year, and his highly successful exhibitions both at home and abroad are a testament to the special recognition of his work. Heinz Hofer initially began with oil painting, realized nature studies on lacquer, and then subsequently dedicated himself to watercolor and charcoal drawing.

After comprehensive training with Prof. Klaus Pack in Salzburg, he increasingly turned to watercolor painting, which he has been engaged in since 1979. Numerous study trips took the artist first throughout the entire Austrian territory and then to Italy, Greece, Germany, France, Egypt, Norway, Iceland, and more. Countless exhibitions in renowned galleries at home and abroad testify to his skill and popularity. Despite his talent and widespread recognition, Heinz Hofer remains a humble person who lives and works discreetly. For this reason, he can also be referred to as the "Painter of Silence".
