Shopping Landeck Premium-Beef

The animals come from family farms in the Landeck district and spend a significant part of their lives in the region. They are taken up to the alpine pastures at least once – an important factor in their welfare, exercise and the exceptional quality of their meat. In addition, the partner farms take part in ÖPUL, the Austrian programme for the promotion of environmentally sound and extensive agriculture.

Before slaughter, heifers and oxen are selected by qualified experts according to clearly defined quality criteria. The aim of the project is to keep as much of the value chain as possible within the region – from rearing through to processing and sale.

Landecker Premium Beef was developed as a joint project between the Chamber of Agriculture, the Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Development Agency. The meat is processed and refined using traditional craftsmanship and regional expertise.
