The Zimmerling family in Baumkirchen specializes in the fattening of oxen and heifers. The farm keeps 14 cattle, including two mother cows. For the breeds, the Zimmerling family relies on Simmental, Brown Swiss, and Pinzgauer, which are crossed with beef breed bulls. This ensures the best meat quality. The animals at the Zimmerling farm enjoy their time outdoors. Weather permitting, the animals go out to pasture as early as the beginning of April, then head to the alpine pasture in the Sellrain Valley and only return to the barn at the end of October.
