Approach

From the parking lot, cross the main road and follow the path over the bridge. Then follow the path to the left along the rock face, to the start of the via ferrata.

Descent

After getting out, walk uphill to a forest road on the fenced path that leads through the meadow. Follow the forest path to the left and descend to Längenfeld. From there, walk about 1.5 km back to the starting point on the farm road that runs next to the federal road. Access to Burgstein is also possible by car.

Route description

A very difficult via ferrata, beautifully exposed and built into the vertical wall. There are sufficiently enough footholds and 2 resting areas.
After the exit, a path leads past a transmission mast. At the junction, you first go left and then right to the forest where you follow the signs towards Brand. A rewarding hike via the hamlet of Brand that doesn't take any longer as the actual descent.
