The 3.5km Saugraben trail in Steinberg am Rofan is a challenging XC ski loop with an elevation gain of 100 metres. The trail is secluded and runs mainly through woodland.
The cross-country ski trail leads past the Steinberg festival hall, then after ca. 1.2 kilometres branches off to the right. After a moderately difficult climb and a gentle descent, the trail continues past the municipal building yard to the Rofan lifts II. From here, the trail leads across meadows and pastures back to the cross-country skiing centre.
