The Tauferberg is a bit like ski mountaineering: First comes the effort, then the pleasure of the descent. Is that even possible on cross-country skis? But hello!
On the first 1.5 km roughly 100 meters of elevation must be overcome, passing through a forest. This is followed by a rapid descent on the same track with steep sections and hairpin bends.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. The parking lot is subject to a fee from 07:00 to 22:00 and managed both in summer and winter.
