Description

Bichlach is known as a paradise for ponds, as there are a number of idyllic little ponds to discover in the gently rolling hills of forest and meadow landscape. The Bichlach circuit is an ideal half-day tour, especially for families and novice cyclists. We start the tour at Schwarzsee, which can be reached directly from the Brixental villages and Kitzbühel via the Brixental Cycle Path No. 21. We cycle to the Schlosshotel Münichau and then turn right, uphill towards Gieringer Weiher. A short descent takes us to this pond, then we return along the same route to the junction and continue on cycle path no. 279 towards Rettenberg. From the hills of Bichlach, there is always a beautiful panoramic view of the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Wilder Kaiser. On the road downhill towards Schmiedboden, here again uphill on cycle paths 279, 280 and 281, past the Hasenbachweiher pond and on to the highest point at the Steuerberg inn. From here, take the asphalt road back to Schwarzsee.
