Description

The bike tour starts at the Bärenfalle in Musau and leads from the starting point through the forest to Oberletzen. After crossing Pflach, the route continues on the Via Claudia Augusta cycle path over the Kniepass.

In Pinswang, it is worth taking a short detour to the Sternschanz ruins and the Schloss im Loch, two historical outworks of Ehrenberg Castle. Both sights are only a few minutes' walk from the bike route. The bike path finally leads along the Lech River to the Weißhaus, where the treetop path leads to Bavaria at a lofty height above the forest adventure center. Another highlight awaits a few minutes' drive away at the Lech Falls. The route continues past the foot of the High Castle in Füssen and through the Faulenbach Valley to Lake Alatsee.

Via the Vilser Scharte and a somewhat steeper gravel path, the route descends to Vils. The Vilsegg ruins, the historic hammer mill and the church of St. Anna are right next to or a few minutes' walk above the bike path and are well worth a stop!

The last section of the circular tour takes you through the idyllic town of Vils and finally through the picturesque and quiet Ranzental valley to Musau. The destination at the Bärenfalle is now not far - and the stop is definitely deserved!
