E-biking in Tyrol

Finally a few less metres in altitude! We love our Tirol precisely because of its mountains, but we sometimes suffer a little when cycling. However, with an e-bike, the extensive network of trails and charging stations throughout Tyrol, the metres in altitude can be reduced somewhat. From e-bike riding tips to tour tips, you can find everything you need to know about e-biking in Tirol here.

Driving technique tips for Tyrol

E-bike tours in Tyrol are usually just as long as they are high. Okay, not quite - but the metres in altitude are often steeper, more difficult and simply more than elsewhere. That's why a safe riding technique must also be mastered on an e-bike.

Which driving mode for the mountains?

The choice of support levels for e-mountain biking in the mountains is of course individual. Nevertheless, the battery life should definitely last until the end of the tour, as an empty e-bike can become heavy and energy-sapping after a long tour, even on flat terrain.

  • Eco mode

Ideal on flat or slightly ascending routes. Saves battery power so that longer tours are possible. Recommendation: if the surface is stable and the gradient is moderate.

  • Tour/Trail mode

Ideal for longer climbs and uneven terrain with a good balance between performance and battery utilisation. Recommendation: For normal mountain tours with steady climbs.

  • Turbo mode

For very steep or technical passages where full power is required. Consumes the battery the fastest, so only use it selectively. Recommendation: For short, demanding sections or when you are tired.

E-asy Biker

at the E-Bike World Championship

Some say: "E-mountain biking is not a sport!". And yet there is an e-bike world championship. Only in Tyrol. Who will be on the starting line? And will there be any sweating at all?
