Description

Ascent with the Hornbahn I and the Horngipfelbahn.
After the impressive landscape and view experience from the Horn summit lift, you can enjoy the 360° panorama on the Horn summit, which is unique in the Alps.
From the summit house, you have two options to get to the entrance of the Alpine flower garden. You can hike comfortably downhill on the asphalt road. Or you can take the old Hornweg trail across meadows to the entrance of the Alpine flower garden.
Tip: With children, we recommend the "Kids climbing trail". Walk along the old Hornweg past the Adlerwarte via the Hängerücke to the Adlerhorst and marmot garden. After a short time, you will also reach the entrance to the Alpine flower garden. Anyone who has experienced the Alpine flower garden with the splendor of the Alpine rose blossom in summer will find plenty of inspiration to return here. It is quite simply the impressive flower experiences that await you from spring to fall. This unique garden is also home to botanical specialties from all over the world. This is the work of the Hofer family, who have been entrusted with the care of the magnificent alpine grounds since 1985. Rare plants from the Caucasus, the Andes, the Pyrenees and the Himalayas have been planted here by the Hofer family. The garden is embedded in the turf between natural rock structures that have been removed and transformed especially for this purpose, and two artificial ponds complete the picture. Flowering time May - October. Discover/admire the splendor of new flowers at any time of year. You can obtain up-to-date information on what is currently in bloom in the Alpine flower garden directly at the valley station of the Kitzbühel Hornbahnen.
TIP for children - after the hike through the Alpine flower garden, children can really let off steam in the playground at the Alpenhaus.

Guided hikes through the Alpine flower garden - information at the valley station of the Kitzbüheler Hornbahnen cable cars
