The Hut Wangenitzsee Hütte is the highest bothy in the Schober group and is in an idyllic location at the deep-blue Wangenitzsee and Kreuzsee, on the Carinthian side of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
From Seichenbrunn car park, bear right across Debantbach, then follow the well signposted path via the Gaimberg field area to the lower wind gap. Continue until you come to Wangenitzsee Hütte located between lake Kreuzsee and lake Wangenitzsee.
