Description

Description:
It doesn't always have to be skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing. On almost 81 kilometers of cleared paths, hikers roam through the snowy fairy-tale landscape. Cozy huts invite you to stop along the way. Sitting by the fireplace, warming up with a Jaga tea, or energizing with a snack for the next kilometers – this is how you can fully enjoy snow walks.Directions:

The parking lot at the underpass in Tannheim, towards the Berg district, is the starting point of our hike. Eastwards through the Berg district, with Einstein always in view, the path slowly ascends. Following the signs towards Lohmoos, we follow the driveway. We master some hairpin bends, then cross a pasture area that is used by local farmers in summer. The route continues through the wonderful winter landscape up to the small Lohmoos plateau. At the fork, we follow the path towards the Gasthof Zugspitzblick. Upon arrival, we walk along the road to Zöblen to the village square. There is a bus stop there.

Tip:
Great places to stop along the route.Safety guidelines:
It should be noted that there is also an increased risk of accidents and injuries when winter hiking. Particular attention must be paid to the condition of the path, especially in winter. Suitable clothing, good footwear, and possibly hiking poles provide additional safety. Stay on the marked trails.Equipment:
Modern and well-maintained equipment (shoes, poles, and clothing) not only provides a considerable level of safety but also greatly facilitates winter hiking. Sun protection (high SPF and possibly sunglasses) as well as sufficient fluids should not be forgotten.Additional information:
